Beautiful Lego, but definitely not for 3 years old! Even for adults it took a long time to understand the instructions! Anyway, came out very beautiful!

Me and my niece loved building this. However, if you like your fingers not to be rubbed off slowly then dont buy I enjoyed it very much. And she loves having it in her room. Good buy

Very fun yet challenging bulid. The blocks slide into each other making them much more stable than traditional legos. They do not fall apart from a drop not are they easily disassembled. It is worked in layers which I initially did 5 at time then placed the 5 layers onto the main construction piece. I found this to be a poor decision as once assembled they can be different to take apart forcing me to redo all 5 layers rather than the one where a mistake wasnt discovered until after I attempted to connect all 5 layers to the main piece. My son and I (5 years old) and built it together and it was a wonderful experience that allowed us to engage with other for many many hours. Working on this with a child did make the process longer (it took us about 2 months) but I do not like rushing through time with kids. He is extremely proud of himself and this has really boosted his confidence! It was money well spent because the experience and time together brought us both so much joy. There were plenty of extra pieces included and I have about 30 of each color left over. The instructions can be difficult to see because each picture is only about 4 inches square. Prior to starting I took a photo of each step with my iPad making it much easier to zoom in for a larger image. Mine DID NOT come with a box which does not matter to me because after opening it would have been obsolete however this may be important if gifting to a picky friend or you are concerned about initial appearance.
I am very much looking forward to constructing more of these slide together bulids but they can be pricey so I am looking for a more economical solution as it appears all my 3 boys are now interested in buliding them. My older boys are 14 and 16 and they would both be able to enjoy these on their own or as a family. They are very nice to do with smaller children because they do not fall apart with too much pressure the way that traditional lego bricks do. There is a large variety of these slide together set available online however, this is the only listing on Amazon for them that inhave been able to find. I am hopeful the listing here will be updated soon to include more options.
